You need to know if you are eligible to work after you graduate. Not all designated learning institutions and not all programs of study make you eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program.

Along with graduating from a PGWP-eligible designated learning institution, you need to meet all other criteria to get a post-graduation work permit.

The list below will let you know if your designated learning institution offers programs that will make you eligible for a post-graduation work permit.

List of designated learning institutions by province/territory

Step 1: Choose the province or territory your school is in.

Step 2: Type in keywords such as the name of the school, city, etc.

Step 3: Find the designated learning institution (DLI) number and write it under the section Details of intended study in Canada on your study permit application.

If you’re 18 years of age or over, you must qualify as a fully vaccinated traveller to come to Canada to study. You can study at any designated learning institution (DLI).

If you’re under 18 years of age, you don’t need to qualify as a fully vaccinated travellerto come to Canada to study. If you’re not fully vaccinated, you must study at either a

• DLI with an approved COVID-19 readiness plan (for post-secondary students), or


• DLI in a province or territory that accepts international students (for elementary or secondary students)

If you qualify as a fully vaccinated traveller and you’re under 18, you can study at any DLI
